“It’s written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak…”
                              — 2 Cor. 4:13

You bought something with your life. What did you buy? What you bought is what you have the right to speak about. I believe that it is our responsibility to give our wisdom and insight back to those who remain where we were. That is God’s plan for our life: to share what we learned the hard way that shaped our beliefs.

— Juanell Teague

As we listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead us down paths He has chosen, we open the door for Him to create in us a powerful, God-driven ministry -a tool to perform His glorious miracles of mercy and love; a tool to fix lives that have been shattered by the devil’s world; and a tool to teach us how to glorify our Lord, Jesus Christ, with power and love.

Description

The Witnessing Ministry is comprised of Christians who have experienced God in profound and life-changing ways, and who desire to share those experiences with others.

History

This ministry was created in August 2003. HOCC members approached Juanell Teague and asked that she coach them in delivering their witness. Although Juanell initially declined because she does not teach speaking platform skills, she heard the nudge of the Lord and, together with James Teague, formed the class.

The class meets for one hour, beginning at 5:55 PM, each Wednesday. Each meeting features one person delivering his or her witness (25 minutes) followed by constructive feedback from the class members.

Those We Serve

The goal of this ministry is to enable HOCC members, who wish to verbally deliver their witness, to speak confidently about their intimate experiences with the Lord.

Needs and Opportunities

The ministry needs speaking opportunities for the members to share their witness. This includes classes, ladies’ groups, youth groups and other opportunities outside of HOCC. The class welcomes all HOCC members who wish to enhance the ability to give their witness.

News from the Fruit

This ministry was birthed with two members in August 2003. The number of participants increased to 9 by February 2004 and to 14 presently. It has enabled all participants to enhance their speaking skills, while increasing their self esteem and confidence. Not only is the ministry a healing experience which brings hope, it is enabling the members to reach out and share their witness with others, both inside and outside of HOCC.
